Retail and hospitality bring life to our city. They shape how Wellington feels, who it attracts, and what kind of community it becomes. But this sector is changing fast — and some of the most exciting new energy is coming from people who have recently chosen to make Wellington their home.

This evening featured four new entrepreneurs who are reshaping our streets. From fashion and food to secondhand style and innovative dining, they shared what drew them here, why they’re investing in the city, and what we need to get right if we want to keep them.

The panel featured provocations and ideas from local retail and hospo stalwarts — and plenty of room for audience input.
